Luscien Yu Shows Resilience at SAC Chess Tournament
Despite a challenging start going 0-3 on Saturday, Luscien showed excellent resilience, bouncing back to win his next two games on Sunday at the Duncan Academy U1500 Chess Tournament (Dec 7-8). The SAC chess team competed in the U1100 and U1500 sections with many hard-fought games. Final result: 2/5 in the U1500 section (5 Rounds, 75+30 time control).
Rush Canada OPDL Wins Hamilton Holiday Festival Tournament Championship
Rush Canada OPDL M2011 captured the championship at the Hamilton Soccer Holiday Festival Tournament after an incredible day of four matches. In the final, Luscien Yu showcased his speed and technical skills, beating defenders and deceiving the goalkeeper to score a crucial goal. Head coach Slobodan Pavlovic praised the team's continuous progress throughout the tournament, with the 4th game being the best display of hard work and development. The perfect way to close out 2025!

Rush Canada OPDL to Compete in Ontario Futsal Cup 2026
Luscien Yu will represent Rush Canada Blue Oakville in the U15 Boys division of the 2026 Ontario Futsal Cup. The preliminary round takes place on January 11, 2026, at 360 Soccer Centre, with the team competing in Group 2 against top OPDL clubs including Vaughan OPDL, Royal FA White, and Woodbridge OPDL Navy. The provincial finals are scheduled for March 21-22 at Durham College, Oshawa.
